FAQs
Do you issue HETAS-style certificates?
We issue a professional sweep certificate accepted by home insurers. HETAS installer sign off is separate, but we'll advise if you need it.
What's a smoke test?
We light a controlled smoke source in the appliance and check the flue draws properly and doesn't leak into other rooms, which is essential after any building work.
Can you remove a bird's nest?
Yes, outside the protected nesting season (typically September to February). We'll also check your existing cowl while we're there.
Do you fit cowls or carry out roof work?
We don't. Sweeping and inspections are our trade, and we leave ladders and roof work to the specialists. If your cowl needs replacing, we'll put you in touch with trusted local contacts who can quote for the work.
